I took a trip to Newcastle to visit the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Here, I experienced a moving image piece by Shen Xin which involves a dialogue between two women who are expressing a lot of emotion to one another. This was some quite intense artwork as it was a few huge screens in an empty dark room so it felt as though you could have actually been there as it was happening. By seeing this, I have gained inspiration to create and exhibit one of my video pieces in this way as it is an overwhelming experience.

At the Baltic, there was also a theatrical improvisation piece which combined a women moving around a huge room and interacting with the work around her. She would often ignore what was going on with

regards to the audience she had crowded around her, but then sometimes try to connect with us which did make me feel like I was not only an observer anymore, but actually a part of the art that was taking place in that room at that time.
