Memories (3) C Road to H Road (2)

I feel that I want to call this video that I'm going to create 'C Road to H Road' as I always find it quite difficult to come up with names for my work. I'm not sure why, but I always want to change it after the fact and can never settle on anything that I am completely happy with.

I have taken some images of the road signs of each street and as well as this, I also walked from Carisbrooke Road to Hylton Road with my camera and strap around my neck to use almost as a tripod in a way. I knew this technique would not keep the camera completely steady as I walked, but I think the footage that was took gives the effect that I was looking for, the journey on foot.

I have edited the road signs into black and white as I used to use this effect in my previous artwork and I feel that this is the best way to show off the contrast of the images. I also think that this editing works well because if I work the images into the videos in some way, the overall effect can almost give the illusion of a dream or in my case, a memory, as I am reliving my journey from my old house to my Grandma's house.
